How Science and Technology have gone on!

                       TRANSLATION TO SPANISH  (TRADUCCIÓN)

                                                                             1

New generation had better know properly that nothing they enjoy at present is an exclusive making of now-a-days since science, as Marx wrote, is logically and historically a structure built from present to past and not on the contrary; for science is a description and not a prescription and above all, because future, can not be analyzed as a reality yet.

Nothing today would have been gotten without Aristotle’s, Leibniz's, Descartes’, Kepler’s, Einstein’s, among others.

And since knowledge grows gradually in any field, it is not an exclusive attribution to any generation in particular; of course, with the speed science and technology are running today, in time, the present and future generations will find one another closer, and history will be more and more a recent fact.

                                                                        Note

In order to see how science and technology grow gradually, have a look at this note bellow, and observe the way Cable TV began developing:

                                                                   CABLE TV

In the late fifties, the people of a small Oregon city, blocked off by mountains from receiving a television signal directly at their homes, organized a company that built an antenna on a high point and then fed the programs by cable to various homes in the community.  Thus began what is now called community antenna television (CATV) or cable TV.

                                                                    TV Cable

                                                                        Note
In the mid-80's a British writer George Orwell wrote a novel where he images a society deprived of all privacy, and by that time and this present one his threat has come true but even more complex with INTERNET, SATELLITE TRANSMISSION, SMART PHONES, DIGITAL TV, GOOGLE MAP and so on; which seem to get more and more joining altogether.

                                                                         Nota

                                                         Big Brother* is watching you**

"The telescreen received and transmitted simultaneously.  Any sound that Winston made could be picked up by it.  Moreover, he could be seen, as well as heard.  There was no way, of course, of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment."

                                                       LAROUSSE COMMENT

This was a passage from "1984", a novel written by the British writer George Orwell, where he images a society deprived of all privacy.
With cable TV this threat has arrived, in theory.  For any cable that brings television signal into your home has the capacity to carry signals the other way.  Some companies now offer systems  that almost continuously record what the subscriber is watching and even let the viewer vote on issues discussed on TV programs. (This is the concept of interactive —or two-way television—: viewers can send electronic signals to the studio, the result of their votes is flashed on the screen.) As the subscriber will also be able to use the cable to order goods or services, his tastes and finances will be recorded.  So the cable company will in fact know more about him than his credit card company or the FBI...

                                                                           Note

In time, as it can be seen at present, excessive comfort, instead of going down will be increasingly, and idleness, sickness, depression, laziness, long-term illness, shyness, suicide, hard muscle, strain and rigidity, violence and so forth, will be on the way and people will have to learn how to get by with this string of things and the sooner the better, because in time, human being would be in bad health for the rest of the life, not only physically but mentally as well.

The best way to attack these things, is to mingle with people; not to be in front of your computer or smart phone or TV or IPad more than three hours a day, taking a rest every other hour of at least five minutes; not to pay attention to the communicators who constantly speak about the panacea of the latest model, because is completely stressful; avoid the excess of virtual friends because the human hug is one the best remedy for happiness and you need not to loose contact with real world.  Lastly, try not to follow the latest technology, if you still solve your needs with which you have at hand, go on, and above all, avoid to be persuaded.  In the following paragraphs try to catch up with what will probably happen in the future if everything continuous this way.
